Summer’s Here!

Finally some decent summer-like weather has arrived in Calgary. It’s certainly been a while!
At Simply Effective, the summer months bring all sorts of website maintenance projects, clients trying to catch up on site changes intended for the spring that somehow got put on the back burner, and others trying to get a jump-start on projects budgeted for the fall. While we will be away for a couple of weeks in July and August, we’ll still be answering email and working on-the-fly (laptop in hand!!)

In the past 12 months we’ve had numerous requests from small business owners to have their websites designed/redesigned in WordPress, as a Content Management System (CMS). We’ve found that WordPress is the perfect software tool to meet our clients’ requests to make it easier for them to organize and update their own website content while keeping site management and maintenance more affordable.
On that note, it just made good sense to update our own site using the WordPress platform! It’s an ongoing process so please continue to check back as we plan to provide more in-depth information about WordPress as an open source blog software package and how it works exceptionally well as a content management system.
